I think I'm letting the worst part of me get the best of me.  I just can't seem to get it right.

I came home sick from work today and during one of my much needed cat-naps during the day I had a dream that left me feeling strange. In my dream, I was in a prison that had the lay out of the high school that i graduated from. Instead of class rooms, there were cells. I don't recall much but I was looking for someone and I don't know who. Let me first say, I never dream of prisons. Ever. I'm always in an open space or somewhere outside, hardly inside.
After blinking the last remnants of sleep away, I went to my class at the college and didn't think much of it. In fact I completely forgot it. After class I went to my parents house to see my mother who just returned from a trip. (she bought me a marionette, it's great). While I was there, my dad told me to be sure I checked my mail. So I'm flipping through the envelopes. Bill. Ad. Late notice. Bill. Late notice. Late notice in colorful envelope(i assume that's an attempt to make it look pleasing, hoping i'll open it rather than pass it.) Plain white envelope with my information hand written in the middle. At first I threw it down thinking it was just another bill, but then i looked at it again and decided to open it.

Inside the envelope was a single sheet of paper, a handwritten letter.

Jessica,
Hello there, I hope when you receive this little letter it finds you in good health as well as high spirits. Well first before I  go on, let me
tell you why I'm writing you. I'm writing you to give you condolences on your mother. I would of did it a while back but I didn't knwo how to find you. So before I go any further let me tell you who I am. I was one of your moms friends. I used to live with you and her when you were little, thats when you used to live by the old police station. I used to take you to dance class at the center. Do you remember?  This picture is of me and my neice, zoe,. Please sent it back. okay, also if you wouldn't mind could you please send a picture of yourself? Jessica, I am in a federal prison for conspiracy to traffic meth. I've been in here for 9 years now, I don't have much time left. But if you have any questions please feel free to ask. So until I hear back from you, you take care.
Your friend,
A.S.

I thought it was very strange.  My name and address on the envelope are correct but nothing has happened to my mother and she doesn't recall living by the old police station and i never took dance. What's kind of weird though, is I, too, have a neice named Zoe.

I just had to get it out how peculiar it was. My dreams lately have been forshadowing a lot in my life and I believe I'm going to start paying mor attention to them.
